I'm a senior UX/UI designer based in Madison, AL, finishing my last stretch of college. I started AC Studios to take on clients at rates that make sense for small teams, indie creators, and scrappy startups, and these days I'm not doing it alone: we're a small crew of freelancers who team up project by project. That's the whole pitch. You get someone who consulted on UX for Red Dead Redemption 2 at Rockstar, tested Fortnite at Epic, and designed enterprise products at Amazon and Mayo Clinic, without the agency markup that usually comes with that resume.
The Team
AC Studios is a small crew of independent freelancers who team up project by project. You get a full crew: strategy, art, design, and someone keeping it all on schedule, without paying agency overhead for the privilege.
Cassandra is the reason your project actually lands when we said it would. She runs our sprints, keeps the schedule honest, and makes sure nothing quietly falls off the list between the kickoff call and launch day.
Illustration and visual direction. Kace takes a half-formed idea about how your brand should feel and turns it into actual artwork, the kind people stop scrolling for. She's the reason our projects look like someone made them on purpose.
Madji works on layouts, components, and all the small details that decide whether a site feels finished or just done. He's early in his career and he sweats the details, which is exactly the energy you want on your project.
How this works: we're freelancers, not an agency with a payroll to cover. We come together around the projects that need us, which is exactly why the pricing stays reasonable. Every project still runs through me, so you always know who's accountable.
What We Do
We keep the client list small so every project actually gets real attention. You work with me directly from first call to launch, and I pull in the right people when a project needs art, interface work, or a tighter schedule than one person can hold.
Research, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, design systems, and dev-ready Figma files. I've done this for Amazon and Mayo Clinic. Your app deserves the same thinking at a price that won't make you cry.
Custom websites on Wix, Squarespace, or hand-coded. Perfect for small businesses, breweries, shops, or anyone whose current site is embarrassing them. You'll leave with something you're proud to share.
HUDs, menus, inventory, in-world UI. I've worked on Red Dead Redemption 2 and Fortnite, and I also shipped my own game on Steam. Indie devs especially: we know your constraints and we won't blow your budget.
